OFFICE MEMORANDUM
SUB: – Amendment of Policy for Relaxation of Qualifying Years of Service for Promotions.
In supersession of the Office Memorandum No. AR-3/GEN 174/2007 (Pt) dated 20th June, 2019, the Government of Nagaland has further reviewed the policy for relaxation of the qualifying years of service for promotion and hereby decided to revive the provisions as contained in the earlier Office Memorandum No.AR-3/GEN-174/2007 (Pt) dated 17th December, 2014 with additional provisions and modifications as follows:
- In case of Departments/Services where there are no officers fulfilling the criteria as per the service rules to man the higher posts in a Department, an officer having served more than 20 (twenty) cumulative years of service may be allowed officiating promotion after a minimum of 1(one) year at the immediate rank subject to the clearance of P & AR Department and subsequent regularisation by the DPC within 3 months.
- Thereafter subsequent promotions may be granted after a minimum of 6(six) months only, if there are no officers in the higher post to fill the vacancies in the Department subject to the clearance of P&AR Department and subsequent regularisation by the DPC within a period of 3 (three) months.
